YSL Lippies

Before I start I think everyone can pretty much agree that these are the prettiest lipsticks..ever. I've had these lippies for a while now so it thought it was about time I spoke to you all about them. I'm sure most of you will have seen/heard of them before as they are very popular in the blogging world for obvious reasons.
The shades I have are: Rouge Volupte 13 'Peach Passion' & Rouge Pur Couture 04 'Rouge Vermillon'

My sister got: Rouge Volupte Shine 6 'Pink In Devotion'

First off, I love love love the packing of these and think they look so beautiful on display. They are quite pricey but if you have a birthday or you know Christmas is coming soon (ish) so that could be a potential chance to get hold of one yourself, as id definatly recommend them.

I love the formula of these as they are incredibly moisturising which is a bonus especially as autumn is around the corner (sorry to those who are clinging onto the last of the summer time). Although, them being moisturising does not at all have an effect on their colour pay off as they are lovely and pigmented and are very true to colour. I'm also going to admit that owning these do make you feel special no matter how cringey that makes me sound.

However I do have some little flaws to point out as this would not be an honest review if I didn't. Okay, so I don't understand why but these lipsticks get used up sooo quickly! I'm guessing its due to them being moisturising as it seems every time they are applied a lot of the product is used up which upsets me as they are not the most inexpensive item to replace. Also their staying power is not great, not terrible, but not great which is also a bit of a downer. However, I wouldn't want those tiny problems to ever put someone off buying one themselves as they are really nice luxury products to own and add to your make up collection.

Have you ever tried YSL lipsticks? If so what do you think of them?

Skincare Must Haves

Hey, so a few weeks ago I was having a bit of trouble with my skin which is really rare for me. I'm not usually the one to get spots but when I do I have no idea how to treat them or what kind of products to use. However my fave skincare brand ever has to be Nspa, which is  a brand I've talked about before.

In the end I chose these two: Hot Cloth Cleanser & Skin Glow Mud Mask.

If anyone has read my blog for over a year you'll know that I did have a little gift set full of nspa goodies and this product was also included, which is one of the reasons I picked it up (as well as the offer haha). I do really like this and I have gotten into the routine now of using it every morning and night and I've noticed how much more moisturised and soft my skin feels. If you are looking into trying the Liz Earl hot cloth cleanser I would recommend giving this a go first for a fraction of the price as they are essentially the same thing and both do the job. You can also use this to remove your make up, but I don't like to do this I just take my make up off with a micellar water and then go in with this after, as I think this way is a lot more effective for me.  P.S - also comes with muslin cloth.

Facemasks have always been a fave of mine, I just really like the feel of this one and what my skin looks like after using it. I use this probably twice or three times a week depending on how my skins looking at the time. The only problem I have with this is that it can be quite drying so if you do get yourself this i'd recommend always applying a moisturiser after. But apart from that I feel like this has worked really well and has helped to clear up my skin.

Have you tried any of these products before?

Maybelline 24 HR Colour Tattoo

Hey :) I've noticed that it's been a while since I've talked about makeup, so that's what I'm gonna do today...So like posts I've done before I'd always gather a few products together and write mini reviews for them all but today I wanted to focus on just one product which are the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's. Now your probably thinking 'But Millie, these have been out for years why have you only just discovered them now?' Yeah, you're right I know I'm late on the hype but it doesn't mean everyone and their mum has tried it before, does it? Anyway I'll get on with it now :)

'Pink Gold' (I think they may have changed the name) +  'On & On Bronze'

First Impressions:

I actually am not too keen on the packaging of these, I like that they come in a glass pot and that the front is pretty and it's clear to know which colour is what, but the bottom is too big and chunky for me. Anyone that owns one of these will know what I mean but to me it looks like they've kept a big chunk of see through glass at the bottom of the pot for no reason. It confuses me as to why they did that, however everything else I like and I think that might be the only thing I don't like about these.

Long Lasting:

These surprisingly do last a long time even without using a primer. They pretty much last all day on me, don't smudge or crease either! However I would recommend using a primer before hand just to make sure and primers are know to make eyeshadows brighter so if that's something you want I would for sure use a primer, they're not too expensive it just depends on what brand you go for. For example MUA do an amazing eyeshadow primer and it's only £2.50..I want to say, but yeah give that a try and I promise you it is actually very good and I prefer using that one over my Urban Decay ones...yep.

Pigmentation & Application:

These are incredibly pigmented and glide really nicely over the lid as they are cream eyeshadows. I find them really easy to apply and are great for blending out. I tend to use these underneath eyeshadows as a base, but you can also just use them all over the lid and they will still look really pretty. If you maybe aren't too good at applying your eyeshadow I would recommend you getting yourself one of these cream eyeshadows, I'm sure you'll love them too. I like to use brushes to apply these because I just find it to work a lot better on me, but it's also really easy to just use your finger which works just the same. Cream eyeshadows also take no time to apply so they're perfect if your in a rush or for school/work and just want a little something on your eyes to make you look more awake..shall we say.

Colour Range:

There are 12 shades in the whole collection I believe and they are all very wearable (although 'Turquoise Forever' is questionable) and are really nice for everyday. I think they did really well with the colour selection and have made shades which are appealing to everyone.

I really do love these cream eyeshadows and I'm sure they'll stay a fave of mine for a while, I'm just so annoyed at myself for not buying these sooner. If you have ever tried these or love them yourself let me know which is your favourite shade in the comments :) And if anyone has any recommendations for more cream eyeshadows you think I'll like please do let me know as I'm sure I'll end up buying it next time I'm in boots ;)

No7 Christmas Gift Sets

Hey, So my birthday was a couple weeks ago now and I got given some make up from the No7 Christmas gift collection which I am really happy with & so I thought I would share them with you as Christmas is right around the corner and these make really nice presents for anyone (who's interested/likes makeup obviously).

Lip Treats - How cute are these?! :) I love them and these are the lip shades I wear all the time and I'm pretty sure they would suit most skin tones. They are quite sheer but you can apply as much or as little as you want to. I personally love how hydrating they are especially now the cold weather has made an appearance. These are perfect little stocking fillers to get for someone and I'm sure they would be very happy to have got given them (as i was).

Mini Eye Palette - So cute & Christmassy!;) If seeing these colours doesn't automatically make Christmas come in to mind then I don't know what will. Can I just say I love all the packaging and the brush that comes with this is surprisingly good which is always a bonus. I've actually only ever tried a single eyeshadow from No7 so I didn't know what to expect from the eyeshadows but the colours are all really lovely and pigmented, really bendable and you can create lots of looks with this one. Another fave and I think I can honestly say I will be using this palette a lot throughout the next month or so :) - They do also sell a bigger version of this palette including 20 shades.

Nail Collection - Last but not least the nail collection, these nail polishes are so pretty and I love all the colours the set comes with. They are really glossy once applied and only one coat is needed (they don't chip easily either). The hand cream is also really nice and makes your hands feel incredibly soft once you've applied it, I think my mum will be stealing this from me some time soon ;)

Hope this helped give you an idea of what to get someone for Christmas :)

Born Pretty Store | Eyeshadow Palette

Hey, it feels like such a long time ago since i've sat here and written a blog post. Today is about my new fave eyeshadows from Born Pretty Store. I'm sure a lot of bloggers have heard of them before, they have A LOT of makeup on their website to choose from.

This is their 15 Colour Eyeshadow Palette  and I love it. The colours are so pretty and really wearable too, especially for this time of year.

There are 11 shimmers & 4 matte shades. The colours are very intense even without using a primer  and are very blend able. I've heard from a few people that they've found them hard to apply using eye brushes, but I've found them to apply really well :)

Top Row.

Middle Row.  (matte brown shades aren't too good though)

Last Row.

As you can see the colours are very pigmented, the only ones I don't like too much are the matte brown shades, they don't really show up at all compared to the others. They also last a long time on me and don't smudge or fall down when I'm wearing them.

I really recommend this palette, it's cheap, pretty and has some really nice colours in it :)

Born Pretty Store has kindly provided me with a 10%  discount code for my readers to use. Just enter the code LIEH10 (it's also on the side of my blog).

Have you ever tried anything from Born Pretty Store?

*I was kindly sent this product to review for free but all opinions are my own*

My Makeup Stash | Blush, Highlighter & Bronzer

Hey :) It's been a while since I posted I've just noticed :/ But anyway I'm carrying on with my 'makeup stash' posts today as promised. Today it's all about the blusher, bronzer and highlighters. I've only included my favourites today for obvious reasons.

- Makeup Revolution Blusher Palette 'Hot Spice' - I picked this one up a while ago now and I love the colours it comes with. There really easy to wear and so pigmented :D I really like this palette as you have pretty much everything you need in it, it also comes with a highlighting shade too. It's also very affordable as it's around £6 :)

- Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick - This has been a fave of mine for a long time now, I don't really like to use the bronzer end of this product but the highlighter is gorgeous on the top of the cheek bones or brow bone. I do wear the bronzer if I have a bit of a tan but it can sometimes look a little fake? mm.

- Sleek Blusher 'Rose Gold' - This blusher was a present from my sister last christmas because she knew I wanted it for ages and I absolutely love it. It's such a pretty colour and has tiny gold specs which are noticeable on your cheeks when the sun hits them :) It's also really cheap, sleek are one of my fave makeup brands at the mo and they also do really nice eyeshadows too :)

- Makeup Revolution Hearts -  (in the top corner there haha) I also love this one, but sometimes I find it harder to wear, it states it's a blusher but I see it as more of a highlight than a blush? :/ But if I use it as a highlighter it's way too pinky, does anyone know what I mean by this? Nevertheless it's really pretty and its very inexpensive...

- Seventeen Contour Kit - This is one you've probably seen me mention as I reviewed it a few months ago :) I love this! It's the best bronzer I've ever bought, it looks natural like you've just caught the sun on holiday, not too orangey at all which you do find in bronzers a lot! :)

Hope you enjoyed this and let me know some of your favourites in the comments so I can have a look  at them :)..

Natural Makeup & Skincare Chat.

Hey :) Today i'm going to share with you my favourite skin care products, tips & some of my fave makeup products to create a natural makeup look ;) First of all I'm going to say that I'm very lucky with my skin but that doesn't go to say I don't look after it or treat it any differently. And for any younger readers out there don't feel like you MUST wear makeup everyday. I think talking about makeup products is great but we should also focus on cleansing your skin because at the end of the day you are only born with one face and we should look after it the best we can.

MY FAVOURITE SKINCARE PRODUCTS:

I find myself mix & matching my skin care products all the time, but I will say sticking to one brand can help a lot when it comes to repurchasing them ;) Some I recommend are; Lush, Body Shop, Nspa, Simple, Clean & Clear, Glossier (more of a luxury brand), Nivea

SKINCARE TIPS:

- WASH YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES -

I think it's very easy to forget this step, but washing your makeup brushes is very important. The brushes hold bacteria from your face, hands, products and anything else (eww :/ ). I would say wash them once a week if you use them regularly, if not every 2 weeks.. depending on how much you use them your'll start to learn when to wash them.
I like to use shampoo to wash my brushes. I put a small drop in my hand, add water and just swirl them in my hand and it works really well.

- TAKE YOUR MAKEUP OFF BEFORE BED -

This is something i've always done because to be honest I can't think of anything worse. There's no where for your makeup to go when your sleeping than into your pores (or your pillow) which brings you more spots.

- CLEANSE/TONE YOUR SKIN -

Using a toner is something i've also done for a long time too. I remember at sleepovers my friends would say 'what are you doing' but it just helps to take the remains of your makeup off that you missed without realizing because it does happen.

- DRINK MORE WATER -

I can't explain to you how much drinking water helps your skin! If you've never tried drinking more water than usual please give it a go, I promise your skin will thank you for it when you wake up the next day :)

- HAVE A SKINCARE ROUTINE -

Whether this means you going up to boots/superdrug and experimenting with different skincare brands and choosing some out that you like..do it! My favourite skincare brands are: Clean & Clear | NSPA | Simple.
I think Simple Skincare has to be my favourite, their products are so cheap and really good for sensitive skin so if your looking for some new skincare and haven't given simple a try yet then you should ;)
If you get into the routine of using your products daily then you should help your skin that bit more in no time :)

My Makeup Stash | Lips

Hey, I've decided to do a 'Makeup Stash' series on my blog so you can see some of my makeup collection. I'm only including the makeup I actually like and wear otherwise there's really no point in me talking about them. I hope you like it and let me know which ones were your favourite in the comments.
NUDE LIPSTICKS.

Left - Right: Avon (Sparkling Bronze) | Topshop (Nevada) | Rimmel (3) | Collection (13 Satin Bow)

I love these lipsticks and wear them all the time. My favourites are Rimmel '3' & Avon 'Sparkling Bronze'. I just think these colours go with everything and look so nice on with a neutral eye or even a bronze/gold eye. I think out of all the lipsticks you're about to see, these are defiantly the ones I wear most.

BERRY PINKS.

Left - Right: Collection (9 China Rose) | New Dayz (22) | Rimmel (5) | Avon (Fuchsia Fame)

I've been reaching for more pinky reds recently as autumn is quickly approaching (sorry to those of you who are still hanging on to the last bits of summer, but to be honest i'm quite excited for the colder weather. Call me crazy). I just love Collections 'China Rose' it's a very subtle red but you can apply as much or as little as you like :) I think Collection is also a great brand to buy from if your maybe just starting out in make up because their products are all so so cheap and amazing quality :)

BABY PINKS & CORALS.

Left - Right: Rimmel (Pink Blush 6) | Rimmel Kate Moss (16) | MUA (Nectar 16) | Collection (14)

These are also worn a lot and I think my favourite here is Rimmel 'Pink Blush'. It's such a pretty colour and one I think a lot of people would like, they're also super cheap & really moisturizing too. I actually have bought this one twice :) I think I bought it first when I was 11/12 and LOVED it so much that I bought another when that ran out. As you can see the pictures make the lipsticks appear very vibrant (which they are) but you can tone them down by applying a lip balm first and just simply applying a light layer of lipstick over the top.

LIP LACQUERS.

Lip lacquers are amazing. I love the way they make your lips look & the staying power is..wow. Yes the natural collection one isn't actually a 'lip lacquer' but i'd defiantly categorize it as one, the pigmentation is amazing and their only £1.99! I know (And it tastes like sweets).

LIP CRAYONS.

Left - Right: Zoeva (Tender Rose) | Bourjois (Peach On The Beach) | Too Faced (Bigger Berry)

First of all look at how big that Bourjois lip crayon is..it's gonna last me a while. I like these because they are so moisturizing and perfect for the cold weather when all your lips want to do is crack, look disgusting and hurt. a lot! So if your someone who suffers from this like me then you should grab yourself one of these pronto.
LIP GLOSS.

Left - Right: Essence (Baby Doll's Favourite) | Bourjois (59) | No7 (Glaze) | Rimmel -the names came off sorry :(

Last but not least lip glosses :) I'm going to be honest and say I don't wear lip gloss too often because I find them so hard to wear longer than 5 minutes :( But I do like to if I just want something to wear on my lips that requires no effort. My fave is Bourjois '59'.

I hope you enjoyed this, I don't know why I've not done it yet actually. Let me know which lipsticks you like the look of and if you like the idea of a 'Makeup Stash' series and what you'd like me to show you :)

P.S - Sorry I couldn't put the links to all the products. If I missed them out it's because the name had rubbed off the packaging or they had been discontinued.
